Starting our journey from Nice, we hopped on a train. It’s a straightforward and scenic route, taking roughly 30 minutes. With breathtaking views of the Mediterranean coastline, the journey itself is a treat!

How to spend a day in Menton

The old town

Once in Menton, our feet took us straight to the old town. The pastel-colored buildings, quaint shops, and bustling local markets gave the place a vibrant yet relaxed vibe. With every step, we felt more and more immersed in the local culture.

No visit to Menton is complete without ascending its renowned stairs. Steeped in history and offering unparalleled views, these steps are a testament to Menton’s rich architectural legacy.

Saint-Michel-Archange basilica

With its striking bell tower, the Saint-Michel-Archange basilica is a major landmark. It stands tall in the old town and offers a panoramic view of the city and the sea.

Port, Lighthouse & Marina walk

Our day ended with a leisurely walk at the marina. Watching the yachts, feeling the cool sea breeze, and seeing the sun set over the horizon was the perfect way to wrap up our visit.
